Qvirus platform, the virus division of Creative Biogene, provides world-class packaging services for a variety of viral types that are highlighted by a consistent high titer and large delivery viral counts. The powerful Qvirus platform can be applied in the research field of lentivirus, retrovirus, adeno-associated virus, adenoviruses, retrovirus, oncolytic virus, etc. With the professional team support, Qvirus platform recently announced the release of its custom baculovirus production to accelerate high-level gene expression in insect cells.
Qvirus platform can provide efficient baculovirus expression vector construction services to support protein production. The custom baculovirus construction services include gene synthesis or subcloning of customer DNA into baculovirus transfer vectors, production of recombinant bacmid DNA, and transfection of insect cells with bacmid DNA, generation of P1 stock (low titer). High-titer recombinant baculovirus stocks (P2) were amplified by Western blot validation and, if necessary, cultured on a small scale to test expression levels and subsequent optimization.
The baculovirus system is capable of performing complex post-translational modifications (PTMs) with high success rates for soluble protein recovery. Meanwhile, it can produce a large number of recombinant proteins and express genes from viruses, bacteria, plants and mammals at the level of 1-500mg/l. These unique characteristics make this virus very useful for prophylactic or therapeutic gene transfer.
Qvirus platform has an advanced optimization system that provides advanced codon optimization for Sf21, Sf9, Hi-5 insect cell lines based on the properties of the protein. Meanwhile, it provides one-stop service, covering all aspects from gene synthesis, cloning, virus packaging and virus amplification. Qvirus platform is focused on the quality of baculovirus services, backed by competitive pricing and the fastest turnaround times.
For baculovirus vectors to be used in human gene therapy, the development of robust, reliable and scalable vector production processes is critical. For over a decade, Qvirus platform has been optimizing baculovirus production systems. The team can provide a comprehensive portfolio of products and services for efficient design, development, manufacturing and analytical testing of baculovirus vectors. In addition, various types of recombinant baculovirus products have been established in-house to help customers conduct baculovirus-based gene therapy research with less budget and less time.
“We can establish the optimal protocol for your custom project, then scale up for the highest expression of the protein of interest.” said Marcia Brady, the marketing director of Creative Biogene, she also added, “Expertise in virology makes us an industry leader in supporting global customers in the development and GMP manufacturing of viral vaccines, gene therapies and other virus-based technologies.”
