Lightship and Acclinate, companies that are both focused on providing more access and choice to patients and to improve health equity in clinical research, are working together this holiday season and beyond to give back to communities that support clinical research through a new Season of Giving initiative — encouraging others to join.

This holiday season marks the first Season of Giving, a series of events where Lightship and Acclinate are teaming up to donate time and support, starting with the communities where they live and work. The companies contributed volunteers and time to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank on Nov. 20, and are kicking off the next Season of Giving events in two additional communities in December:

• Birmingham, Alabama, at the Bush Hills Community Garden & Urban Farm on Dec. 7
• Raleigh, North Carolina, at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina on Dec. 19

As part of this Season of Giving initiative, Lightship and Acclinate are extending an open call for other clinical research industry and health-focused organizations to join them for future events. Lightship has also established the Lightship Giving Group, which will continue to offer quarterly support to community organizations year-round.
