Faulty Research Pulled, Subsequent Trials Questioned

November 1, 2010 | Joseph Nevins, a professor and director of Duke's Center for Applied Genomics and Technology, has asked that the Journal of Clinical Oncology retract work finding a genetic link to cancer patients' drug response that he submitted with a colleague in 2007. The colleague, Anil Potti, has been on paid leave since last summer after false claims on his resume came to light. The research that Nevins has asked the journal to retract was the basis for three clinical trials done at Duke enrolling about 100 patients. News & Observer
