Google Glass in the Hospital
April 9, 2014 | Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center has given out Google Glass to all emergency room doctors in an expanding pilot program. Patients' rooms are labeled with QR codes that immediately bring up their charts and records when scanned, allowing doctors to consult medical histories while conversing with their patients. This is the largest of several Glass programs at medical centers around the US, a proliferation of clinical uses that has inspired an upcoming conference in Cambridge to discuss where Google Glass can be most useful in the healthcare system.
