Novartis Sets New Guidelines for Clinical Trials
July 8, 2014 | With difficulties starting almost a year ago and culminating in an office raid last month, Novartis has admitted that a clinical trial run in Japan was compromised when researchers interfered in studies and hid side effects. Now the big pharma has released new guidelines for clinical trials, stating that when other researchers develop or sponsor trials with financial or drug input from Novartis, the trial, "must be detached" from any Novartis employee.
