June 24, 2015 | IMS Health tweeted out news of its acquisition of ViS Research last week during the DIA annual meeting. 

The ViS Research global site selection platform was born about five years ago, and lets sponsors navigate sites by geographic location and disease-area expertise. Clinical Informatics News highlighted the platform a couple of years ago as one of the new leaders in site selection along with IMS Health's StudyOptimizer tool.

In an emailed comment, an IMS Health representative said the company was, "thrilled to have ViS as part of the IMS Health offerings."
