By Clinical Research News Staff
December 8, 2022 | Finalists have been named for the 7th Annual Participant Engagement Award. Winners will be announced after a live presentation and judging session at the Summit for Clinical Ops Executives. This year’s SCOPE Summit will be held February 6-9, 2023, in Orlando, Fla.
The Participant Engagement Award (PEA) recognizes innovation and change in how the clinical research industry communicates with participants in the fields of recruitment and retention in clinical trials. The award is given each year in memory of Jerry Matczak, the first winner in 2017.
The 2023 Participant Engagement Award finalists include:
1nHealth: Have The Colon Conversation: An omni-channel digital outreach campaign to challenge older adults to get their first screening colonoscopy
Cedar Health Research: Diversity Enrollment Through Tech-Enabled Community Healthcare Partnerships
ClinOne: Connecting HCPs (and Their Patients) to a Phase 3 Trial for Frontotemporal Dementia
ProofPilot: A Co-Pilot for Patients
StudyKIK: Leveraging Mobile Technology to Improve Engagement and Support Patients in Oncology Trials
Each year, submissions are reviewed by study participants, industry peers, and a panel of industry experts. Entries are rated for ability to improve access, awareness, and participation in clinical trials, creativity, innovation, regulatory and legal compliance, and the ability to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The finalists will present their concepts live to the SCOPE audience, followed by a question-and-answer session conducted by the judges. Winners will be announced immediately at the event.
The awards program was created by David Sall, President & CEO, Patient Enrollment Advisors and Kelly McKee, Vice President, Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT), Medidata.
